Important points from the DNC Convention

The Democratic Convention ended last week and left many Americans with a sense of hope and optimism. Michelle Obama gave one of the most important speeches in this political race. Her speech was so dynamic and reminded us of what a true speech is about. It was a much needed speech after Melania Trump’s disgraceful attempt at public speaking. First Lady Obama always sheds light on the important things that all Americans should find important. President Obama didn’t disappoint and reminded us of how great of a speaker he is. After hearing these two, I personally felt a charge like never before. This will be my first year going to the polls and  I am very excited to be apart of such a pivotal time in America. President Obama was so smooth as he charged the democrats to make sure their voice was heard. One of my favorite lines from the whole entire convention was, “Don’t boo… Vote!” He reminded us that our hand is actually needed in this race. Many Americans may not like the candidates for both parties but not voting won’t solve anything. In my opinion, you are just as guilty as a bystander who does nothing when he sees someone being mistreated. I appreciated President Obama for giving us insight on what it will take to be effective and get the outcome that not only we want but what America needs. It was great to hear Hilary Clinton address the Democratic Convention. I was happy to hear her address the major issues that Americans face and not spend the whole entire speech talking about Donald Trump. “So don’t let anyone tell you that our country is weak…We’re not. Don’t let anyone tell you we don’t have what it takes….We do. And most of all, don’t believe anyone who says: “I alone can fix it, ” said Clinton. For the past year we have heard, ‘Make America Great Again.’ Trump supporters are very familiar with this line. It was great to hear Hilary sort of address this line that has had many of us wondering, Why isn’t America great? Donald Trump seems to think he alone is the answer to all of Americas problems. Hilary Clinton reminded that it takes all of us to get to where we need to be, not just one man. In her own words, ” It takes a village!”  I am proud to support Hilary Clinton in her pursuit to become President of the United States of America. #Imwithher
